Icom launches new ICOM IC-M71 VHF Radio: (10 January 2006) Icom has launched a new Hand Held VHF radio to replace the ever popular Icom IC-M1EuroV. The Icom IC-M71 features a durable, rugged outer casing, user friendly operation and is water proof to a depth of 1.5m for 30 minutes. The IC-M71 also features a new high power output of 6 watts. |

Kelvin Hughes launches MantaDigital S-VDR: (4 February 2005) Kelvin Hughes has launched the MantaDigital S-VDR as defined by the requirements of IMO performance standard MSC.163(78) for Simplified Voyage Data Recorders (S-VDR). The S-VDR system collects data from the sensors on board the vessel, and then digitises, compresses and stores this information in an externally mounted Crash Survivable Module (CSM). |

Transas launches Rig Guard: (5 November 2004) Global concerns surrounding terrorism have increased, with the consequent requirement for high-level security implementations. Offshore assets such as rigs, platforms and moorings are obvious targets for terrorism, theft or sabotage, and as such require security. The Rig Guard system is a low cost, discrete solution, specifically designed for offshore installations, which will warn of un-authorised boarding by a series of security sensors. |
